1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?

My practice is in the middle of a dramatic shift to focus primarily on serving mothers overwhelmed by intense emotions such as sadness, panic, loneliness, frustration burnout, anxiety, depression and ADHD. I offer both individual and group therapy to help these mother's identify roadblocks preventing them from becoming their best selves, develop coping skills, reconnect with their inner selves and achieve alignment.

2. Tell us about yourself.

I am located in the DC Metro area and an advocate for mental health counseling and education. I started my practice to achieve alignment within my career and family life. As a mom of two, I struggled with achieving work/life balance and at times, I felt like I had lost my identity within my motherhood. Once I did the work (through therapy) to get my life into alignment, I could not sit by and watch mothers just like me continue to struggle.

3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.

I worked with a client experiencing burnout, mom guilt, and anxiety. As a mom of 3 she had completely lost herself within her motherhood. Through our work together, she was able to gain an awareness of not only her roadblocks but also her strengths. We leveraged these strengths in sessions and she made the necessary changes in her life to achieve desired balance. She now reports feeling confident, empowered, and able to manage motherhood in a way that feels sustainable and enjoyable.
