1. What's your practice focus and what kind of clients knock on your door ?

My practice has evolved significantly over time, but of late, I love working with individuals going through life transitions. These transitions can be related to college, career changes, or personal growth. I find that these moments of change offer incredible opportunities for personal development, and I'm here to provide support and guidance to those who are navigating these critical phases in their lives.

2. Tell us about yourself.

As a first-generation college student, I encountered various obstacles that fueled my determination to assist those navigating similar journeys. Establishing my practice was a way to empower teenagers and young adults, encouraging them to welcome change and uncover their genuine identities. My daily motivation stems from the opportunity to create a positive impact on the lives of those I serve and the wider community.

3. Tell us the story of a patient who you are most proud of helping.

Supporting college students in their transition to adulthood is a role I hold with deep gratitude. It's a privilege to be part of their journeys, helping them navigate the complexities of academic stress, self-discovery, and the challenges of early adulthood. The growth I witness in so many students is a constant source of inspiration and reinforces my dedication to this work. I take immense pride in being able to make a positive impact on their lives during this phase of life.

4. What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a practitioner in private practice?

One of the greatest hurdles in private practice is maintaining self-care. Therapists often devote all their energy to clients, potentially neglecting their own well-being. Recognizing when I must step back, recharge, and be in top form to aid clients is essential. Balancing client care with self-care is an ongoing challenge, but it's a crucial skill to master in this profession, ensuring I'm at my best to support others effectively.

5. What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a private practice today?\

This is such a great question!

  1. Find Your Niche: Just as in therapy, specificity is key. Identify your passion and specialization. For me, it's Phases of Life and Transitions.
  2. Embrace Technology: In today's world, having a strong online presence is crucial. Utilize social media, a user-friendly website, and teletherapy options.
  3. Self-Care is Non-Negotiable: As practitioners, we often neglect our own well-being. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. Make self-care a priority for both personal and professional growth.

6. Where can people find you?
