Green Pill - how to reach your loved ones

As health pros, we, more than most, look around us and want to heal our parents, loved ones, spouses, and kids - instead of just practicing "live and let live".
In fact, many say the reason they went into healthcare is because a loved one was ill.

Some best practices, so far:
I know this is true for me - my mom was schizophrenic and better ADLs [sleep, nutrition, movement] would've mitigated her suffering.
As I figure out how to aggregate best practices in green pilling, my friend Andres Preschel [great follow] gave the following notes:
- Ultimately, the best way to Green Pill is to not tell but Show.
- The toughest thing: Show that health should not be a necessity when it is too late [and must be taken care of], but BEFORE.
- We want them to be healthy, not b/c we don't love them or want them to change, but because we want to enjoy each other as long as possible
- Typical hurdles:
- NOT because we know best
- NOT because we are selfish and want them around
- NOT because we are selfish and do not want to care for them when sick
- NOT because we don't accept them as they are
From the providers I've spoken to, boundaries & leading by example are two big tactics.
